SAFER SCANS, IMMEDIATE RESULTS.

Why wouldn't you choose a clinic where you can not only receive a safer CT Scan, but get immediate results and be properly educated on your condition and your recovery.

The CT scan is a crucial component to evaluation of sinus and nasal problems, by providing a unique look at the sinuses that is not available with a physical examination. At The Sinus Center at Northern Lights Clinic, the sinus experts were the first in the region to use these upright scanners.

CT scans are performed at The Sinus Center at Northern Lights Clinic and use a low radiation dose equivalent to about 10% that of traditional CT scans. The scans are fast, (performed in less than 40 seconds) and comfortable (with the patient sitting upright). At The Sinus Center at Northern Lights Clinic, the patients review the CT scan with the physician during the same visit, saving patients travel time, and decreasing the number of office visits.

The CT scan is also a crucial component to the determination of surgical disease and for surgical planning. The low radiation dose makes it ideal for all patients, but it is particularly beneficial in the pediatric population.

WE DON'T JUST SEE SINUS PATIENTS, WE SEE INSIDE THEM.

If you've been suffering from sinus symptoms for awhile, you should consult with a doctor who can perform a nasal endoscopy to actually see inside the problem and diagnose the appropriate solution.

Wouldn't it be more difficult for your mechanic to diagnose an engine problem if he couldn't look under the hood of your car? The same can be true for doctors treating sinusitis sufferers. The symptoms of nasal allergies, nasal polyps, sinusitis, and viral upper respiratory tract infections often overlap.

A powerful diagnostic technique to help sort it all out is nasal endoscopy. Nasal endoscopy is an in office procedure done using topical anesthesia. It allows us to “check under the hood” and more accurately diagnose the cause of your nasal complaints. During the endoscopy, we can identify common causes of sinus problems like a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, nasal polyps or swollen inflamed tissue where the sinuses drain. We also can see less common causes like tumors and foreign bodies in the nasal cavity.

But don't just take our word for it. See for yourself on our large high definition screen that allows you to view the examination while it's being performed. Nasal endoscopy--just one more tool that makes The Sinus Center at Northern Lights Clinic your one stop shop for sinusitis care.
